Ramaco appoints VP for Brook mine
Nasdaq-listed Ramaco Resources has appointed critical minerals expert Michael Woloschuk as executive VP for critical mineral operations, tasking him with leading the development of the Brook mine project in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Woloschuk brings more three decades of global experience in the mining and critical minerals industries, most recently serving as global executive director of critical minerals at engineering giant Fluor. In that role, he was directly involved in advancing the Brook mine project, providing engineering, testing, and feasibility services since 2024.
"Mike has a decades-long proven track record in senior executive leadership and project management in critical mineral companies across the globe," said Ramaco chair and CEO Randall Atkins. "We could not have found a more qualified and experienced partner to advance our nation's newest, and most promising, shovel-ready rare earth and critical mineral project."
Woloschuk, who holds degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, has held senior roles at mining companies, engineering firms, private equity, and technology providers. His expertise spans geology, mining, processing, finance, and project execution. He will be relocating from Brisbane, Australia, to work across Ramaco’s Lexington, Kentucky headquarters and the Brook mine site.
“I personally regard [Brook mine] as one of the most promising critical mineral developments I have been associated with,” said Woloschuk. “I am excited to accept this pivotal role with Ramaco, and to contribute to the company’s strategic vision and commitment to develop the Brook mine into a meaningful domestic supply of critical minerals.”
